The Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey features an heirloom red corn variety grown on a farm adjacent to the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles. The grain differs from traditional yellow corn and contributes to what the company describes as a bolder and spicier flavor profile.

According to the company, a severe storm during the growing season damaged a significant portion of the crop, resulting in a lower yield and limited production for the release.

"The Distillery Series was created to push the creative boundaries of whiskey. Despite the challenges of the season, the red corn we were able to harvest produced a whiskey that is as resilient as it is flavorful. It’s a true testament to the terroir of Woodford County," said Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall.

The bourbon is bottled at 90.4 proof and will be available in 375ml bottles with a suggested retail price of $64.99. It will be sold in limited quantities exclusively at the Woodford Reserve Distillery gift shop and select Kentucky retailers.

Woodford Reserve is produced at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, and is part of the Brown-Forman Corporation portfolio.
