Marcus Theatres, a division of Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), operates 975 screens at 77 locations in 17 states.

Novak has been with Marcus Theatres for nearly 30 years. He began his career at the company’s Addison, Illinois location and later served as general manager in Elgin and Orland Park, Illinois. After more than 16 years in theatre operations, he transitioned into food and beverage leadership roles, serving as director of concessions in 2013 and vice president of food and beverage in 2015. In 2022, he was promoted to senior vice president of operations and food and beverage.

In his previous role, Novak oversaw concession and food and beverage operations across the company’s theatre circuit. During his tenure, he played a role in the launch of the BistroPlex in-theatre dining concept and supported the integration of Movie Tavern following its acquisition in 2019.

Novak also served as president of the Entertainment Food and Beverage Association from 2023 through 2025 and currently serves as chair of the board. In 2022, he received the Bert Nathan Memorial Award from the National Association of Concessionaires.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
