NEW YORK, November 20, 2025 (WHERE & WHAT TO EAT) — Meal-delivery platform CookUnity has announced a new partnership with chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring his globally influenced dishes to home diners.
Samuelsson, an eight-time James Beard Award winner and the chef behind restaurants including Red Rooster Harlem, Hav & Mar, Metropolis, and Marcus DC, will offer dishes reflecting his culinary influences from East Africa, Japan, Sweden, and Harlem. His collection expands CookUnity’s roster of more than 180 chefs offering meals to subscribers across 18 states, with plans for broader expansion in 2026.
“Cooking has always been my way of exploring the world. From Ethiopia and Sweden to Japan and Harlem, food reflects who we are and how we create community. Our culinary team works hand-in-hand with CookUnity to bring global flavors to people in their homes – the stories, spices, and traditions that inspire me everyday,” said Samuelsson.
Rooted in Samuelsson’s culinary background, the new lineup includes dishes such as M’s Famous Chicken & Waffles with miso hot honey, Masala-Spiced Shrimp with Coconut Turmeric Rice, Green Pasta with vegan pesto, and Smoke Brown Sugar Chicken Thighs with mac and cheese and pickles.
“Chef Marcus Samuelsson embodies what CookUnity stands for: creativity, connection, and discovery. His menu and philosophy aligns perfectly with our vision to bring more meaning, and more flavor, to every meal,” said Mateo Marietti, CEO and Founder of CookUnity.
The partnership allows Samuelsson’s dishes to reach CookUnity subscribers throughout the Northeast and Central East regions, with plans to expand availability to more states in the coming year.
