Sweetgreen Launches “Here for the Bowl” Campaign and Catering Activation in San Francisco

LOS ANGELES, February 6, 2026 (WHERE & WHAT TO EAT) — Restaurant company Sweetgreen has announced the launch of its “Here for the Bowl” campaign and a large-scale activation in San Francisco. The campaign coincides with the introduction of its new catering format, the Build Your Own Sweetgreen Bar.

The activation is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ferry Building’s South Plaza during the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. The event is designed to promote Sweetgreen’s expanded catering offering ahead of the Big Game.
The activation will feature on-site signage and a QR code directing visitors to Sweetgreen’s catering platform. From 8 a.m. to 11:55 a.m., attendees may enter for a chance to win catering valued up to $400 for a Big Game gathering, with delivery limited to locations within 10 miles of the company’s Folsom + Main store.

With the Build Your Own Sweetgreen Bar, we’re rethinking how groups eat, offering a customizable experience built on real, nutrient-dense ingredients, intentionally sourced from farmers who share our values. The Build Your Own Sweetgreen Bar is now available nationwide at select locations. According to the company, the format is designed for group events and can be scaled in increments of 10, serving between 10 and 10,000 people.
Each catering bar includes multiple bases, a choice of protein, assorted toppings, house-made dressings, bread, and optional upgrades such as steak, salmon, and avocado. The new format complements Sweetgreen’s existing catering menu, which includes individual bowls and bundled meals.
Following the San Francisco activation, Sweetgreen plans to promote the catering format across its digital and social media channels, highlighting group and hosting occasions throughout the year.
