SACRAMENTO, Calif., December 3, 2025 (WHERE & WHAT TO EAT) — Restaurant company Sweetgreen has announced the opening of two new Sacramento locations. The Midtown restaurant at 1629 S Street will open on December 2, followed by a second location at Fair Oaks + Howe later in the month.

Sweetgreen’s entry into Sacramento marks the latest step in its ongoing national expansion. The company will introduce its chef-driven menu featuring items such as the Harvest Bowl, Crispy Rice Bowl, Miso Glazed Salmon, and seasonal offerings including the Garlic Parm Cauli Bowl and Chicken Cauli Plate.

“We’re excited to open our doors in Sacramento. Midtown and Fair Oaks are vibrant, welcoming neighborhoods, and we’re looking forward to bringing our fresh, made-from-scratch food to the community as we continue expanding into new markets, including our recent openings in Arizona and Arkansas,” said Jonathan Neman, co-founder and CEO of Sweetgreen.

To commemorate the Midtown opening, Sweetgreen will hold a grand opening event on December 2 featuring live music by “DJ Flow” Chris Santos, seasonal ice cream from Salt & Straw, beverages from Camp Cove, candles from Happy Organics, Sweetgreen merchandise, and other offerings while supplies last. For every meal purchased at the Midtown location on opening day, a meal will be donated to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

The Midtown restaurant spans 2,119 square feet, with seating for 20 guests indoors and 14 on the patio. Customers may order in person, online, or through the Sweetgreen app, which provides access to the SG Rewards loyalty program, allowing members to earn points and access exclusive offers.

Sweetgreen Midtown will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Fair Oaks + Howe restaurant is expected to open later in December, with additional details to be released as the date approaches.
