Anantara Zanzibar to Launch First Sumosan Restaurant in East Africa

DUBAI, May 13, 2025 (WHERE & WHAT TO EAT) — Hospitality company Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences has announced a partnership with international restaurant brand Sumosan to open the brand’s first location in East Africa. The flagship dining venue will open as part of the Anantara Zanzibar resort’s official launch in 2027.

According to the company, the upcoming coastal restaurant will feature Sumosan’s signature Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, and other contemporary dishes, in a setting designed to reflect both Sumosan’s modern identity and Anantara Zanzibar’s coastal environment.
